Il Picchio is located in a quiet and sunny place, close to Lake Mergozzo and just 5 Km. away from Lake Maggiore. Our park, rich in azaleas & camellias, is surrounded by woods of oaks & chestnuts. Here you can see squirrels, roe-bucks and birds, but the master of the wood is undoubtedly the woodpecker! The location is a good starting-line for several natural, tourist and cultural excursions, such as: Lake Maggiore with its Borromeo Islands, Lake Orta, Monte Rosa, Val Grande, Val Vigezzo, Val Verzasca, Locarno, Stresa, Milano, Como, Lugano… And much more!
